for them, and that furthermore, little good from a publicity angle came from the reproduction of paintings as Christmas cards. Therefore, Equity insisted that a royalty basis be established for all works reproduced. At first, the company was reluctant, but finally agreed on a 10% royalty basis, which is the same as that paid by other companys. We were also able to get honorable mentions increased. There is no question but that Equity was able substantially to improve the terms of this important exhibition from the artists' point of view. 

At the conference on Industry and Art, recently held in Milwaukee, the following artist-members of Equity, Kroll, Billi gs, Bohrod, Florsheim and Boggs, were present. Mr. Kroll has prepared a report on this interesting meeting. 

Before I introduce our legal advisor Josh Cahn, I would like to tell you of something that happened not so long ago that should be of great inspiration to all of us. Two members, who have no next of kin, willed all their work to Equity. We are happy in their confidence and that they believe with us that Equity is here to stay and to help the artist prosper.
