You will be interested to know that museum people recognize in Equity a positive element in the community and they have been cooperative and taken active participation. Such conferences should be held throughout, if possible simultaneously, to promote better understanding in the community.

Equity also realizes that it should be a moving force in advancing the cultural relations between all nations. International Congresses and exchange exhibitions are agencies of good-will perpetuating appreciation and better understanding, uplifting economically and culturally. This can, of course, best be accomplished, through government sponsorship, and support, for which Equity is most willing to lend its aid, and towards which we are working.

There is one more point I should like to discuss. As you know, our stand is non-political. One of the amendments to be voted on tonight, will, I believe, clarify this further. Quote:
"No activities may be engaged in, commitments made or resolutions adopted by any official or individual, acting in an official capacity, or by any assembled group of members of the Association, acting or purporting to act in an official capacity, which are of a partisan aesthetic or political character."
