THOMPSON GEORGE YAMAOKA [[/left margin]] August 14, 1946 Mr. Yasuo Kuniyoshi Woodstock, N.Y. Dear Mr. Kuniyoshi: The Committee is certainly indebted to you & your friends for you unflagging interest and support. It was certainly a pleasant surprise that artists at the art colony in Woodstock are going all out in trying to raise funds for us. It makes those of us who have been busy trying to raise funds quite a bit optimistic. We are contacting two veterans, former members of the 442nd who will be able to go to Woodstock during the week-end of August 31st. Within a few days I will be able to let you know their names. Under separate cover we have already sent you the 200 leaflets that you have requested. There is no doubt that we will be able to see some of the raffle tickets here in New York. I hope that we will be given enough time to work on this. There are a number of individual members of the Committee who would be glad to sell raffle tickets. The prizes offered is indeed a worthy inducement. If there is any other way that we can assist you in [[strikethrough]] your [[/strikethrough]] benefit affair, please do not hesitate to call upon us. In behalf of the Committee I would like to thank you deeply for your effort. Sincerely yours, Peter S. Aoki Peter S. Aoki Executive Director PSA:am
