Dear Mr. Rosenfeld:

I should like to thank you for the Greater New York committee for Japanese Americans for your generous contribution. Everyone seemed to think the party a success and I am very glad that it was enjoyed and so well attended.

It has taken us all this time to straighten out the finances of the Festival Dance. It seemed very complicated, but we decided that there was no way of dividing your check between the Committee and Mr. Black since he had already paid his share in full to the treasurer. Therefore I had to fill in your check of $200 in my name and now I am returning to you in this letter my check of $150. I have sent another check of $50 to the New York Committee as your contribution.

Thanks again for your sympathetic response. Our best wishes,

Sincerely,

Mr. Ernest Rosenfeld
