Dear Mr. Washburn:

After waiting all this time for the photographs of Japanese artists paintings they finally arrived the other day. There are quite a number of them. They were sent to me through the Japanese Equity which I understand represents most of the active artists of the day. Therefore, I believe this is a representative group and indicative of the work being done in Japan.

I am sending these photographs on to you today under separate cover in two packages.

I will be interested to hear your reaction and hope you will find some of them to your liking.

My best wished to you both. Would be pleased if you would stop in to see me sometime when you are in the vicinity.

Sincerely yours,
