I have the honor, by instructions from General Fisk, to request that you send me by mail as soon as possible, one or two hundred Blank contracts for the imployment of Freedmen, also that you see whether my order has been forwarded, as I cannot obtain an order for Quarters unless I transmit a coppy of the same with the Request.

The general & staff left at 11, A,M. for Knoxville.
