Sam McDuffer (Freedman) complains that one John Butler has in his possession a shot gun belonging to him and refuses to deliver the same to him, and also that he has one dollars worth of ammunition belonging to him. Said gun and ammunition was taken by said Butler and a man named Barnhill, about last Christmas. You will see that the same are returned to McDuffer,and report your action by endorsement on this [[illegible]]
