In regard to the case of George Moore (colored) I have the honor to report, that I brought said case before justice J J Cornall, a Justice of the Peace for the County of New Hanover, and while it appeared from the testimony of all the witnesses that the Old Man, Moore, had been badly beaten by the Policemen, without any reason thereafter; the Policemen who beat him could not be sufficiently identified to warrant holding them. The case was therefore dismissed
