General
I have the honor to recommend that transportation be furnished to Chalmers Wilson from [[illegible]] to Wilmington Del. The circumstances of this case are as follows. Wilson - who is a discharged union soldier of the 1st Delaware Light Battery & Artillery - was induced to come here by false representations made to him that employment would be given him. he is entirely destitute and can obtain no employment in consequence of having served in the Union Army. I have endeavored to procure work for him myself [[illegible]] I think this a meritorious case and [[illegible]] transportation will be furnished to his home.
I am General
Very Respectfully
Your Obdt Servant
