Commr. for information Have I no power to create Sub Dists in my Dist and to order officers to said Districts? In the within case. I have divided a Sub District, consisting of two large counties and ordered an officer to take charge of one portion of the District thus divided, but the orders cannot be carried out in consequence of the refusal of the Post Commander to furnish transportation. I would respectfully request that the Post Commander be directed to furnish transportation on my request for officers and men employed in this Bureau to any point in the Southern Dist under my command Allan Rutherford Bvt.
