So. Dist. N.C. Wilmington N.C. 19th Jan. 1867.  Respectfully returned to Maj Gen. O. O. Howard Commissioner. A request for Transportation for the within named freedwoman, Mary Sholter, was forwarded from this office Dec. 24, 1866 -  I believe her case to be a meritorious one & that she comes within the meaning of Circular No. 2. April. 10 '66. She is now in Hospital here awaiting Transportation Allan Rutherford Lt. Col. V.R.C.  Supt. So. Dist. N.C. |
