Agt. | 27th May - Case of Washington Thompson (Cold) who had his Poll Tax paid by Neal Townsend, for whom he was said, wants to know if said Townsend can deduct the amt from Thompsons pay. |   | 28th May, 1867. Respectfully returned to Wm. Birnie I am of the opinion that under state laws, (Continued in force by G.O. No. 10) Neal Townsend has a right to deduct the Poll Tax paid by him for Thompson, from the wages due Thompson Allan Rutherford Capt. 44th Infty. |

Chur. - A.A.A.G. with request that authority to purchase Forage for the use of horses- belonging to this Bureau, be given to Lieut Echelbery - A.A.Q.M.  I would respectfully request early attention to this matter as the horses are now without food & will suffer-  Allan Rutherford Capt 44th Inf. Supt. |
