Bvt Major H H Foster Ass't Sup't Sampson & Duplin Co's Major A complaint is made to me by a Freedman named "Prince Owen", that his child, "Creecy" a girl aged about 16 years, is detained from him by James Turnbull, who lives about ten miles from Clinton in Sampson County. He states that said Turnbull claims that the child has been bound to him by the Court. You will investigate this case and report. This paper to be returned.
