Magnolia NC
Capt Rutherford,

Sir.
Yours of April 22nd was duly recd, and in reply, I will say that I have attended to taking a list of the property of Joseph Rhoads freedman, which consists of one bed & necessary covering & one sow & six shoats which I had valued by the same freeholders, that attended to laying the same off to him sometime ago which valuation they laid at thirty dollars (ten for bed &c, & twenty for Hogs) I have given the list to the officer and requested him to report the same to our next court, which will be in July. I think that is the proper disposition to make of it, according to the last clause of section 7" Orders No 10. issued by Genl [[Sickels?]]
