Dear Sir
Bearer of this, my foreman Pompey Davis, will produce the boy Julius, whom, in your favor of yesterday, you desired me to send to your office. I send also along my plantation nurse, foster mother of said Julius who has nursed, raised and well taken care of the boy from his infancy. She loves the boy, and the boy loves her, for he had no other mother. By examining the parties, you will easily convince yourself, that it were grievous wrong to seperate the the boy from his good mother, and give him up to an aunt, who never felt any interest in him until now, when the boy's age can be turned to her advantage. I must further assure you
