Sir, I herewith acknowledge the receipt of your favor May 11th requesting a statement from me in regards to a difficulty that took place near our place on Friday last between Ben Franklin Williamson & Some Colored People To wit, Dilsey Williamson Jane Williamson Aarsissins Williamson Delia Williamson I see they are reported to you as Browns As well as I have been able to learn the circumstances is as follows Mr Frank Williamson & some Ladies went to a lake to fish and this little girl of Dilsey Williamson went with them as they were returning from fishing they were crossing a field and passed through some Bars at a fence & when they had all got over the bars Williamson ordered the little girl to put them up and she told him she would not do it himself where upon W picked up a switch & gave the little girl about 10 licks they all go on home & the girl goes to her mother house about 1/4 of a mile from W & informes her mother that Frank Williamson
