The papers you forwarded to this office in the claim for arrears of bounty of Samuel Williamson, formerly of Co. "E 14" U.S.C.A. (Hy.) are herewith respectfully returned. All signatures by mark require attestation by two written signatures, and neither of the persons so attesting should be the officer administering the oath. If the applicant or either of the identifying witnesses signs by mark, the officer administering the oath must certify that the contents of the paper were made Known to them before signing. It should be stated in the declaration, the amount and Kind of bounty claimed, and the amount (if any) already received. If the above
