Wilmington Jan 20 Respectully returned Lt W E Prince for information as to the wherabouts of the girl. Allan Rutherford Capt 44th Inf Sub Ass't, Com Turkey Crek Farm January 29th 1868 Res returned to Allan Rutherford, Capt 44 Inf Sub. Asst.Com. The girl "Chany" in question was left by Adam with Mrs. J. B. Daves near Corner Market & Sixth Street, house known as "Grants Cottage" just after the surrender for her feed clothing and education and delivery to him, Adam, and demand. Chany has been seduced away from Mrs. J. S Davis as before mentioned. I would suggest that Mrs. J. E. Davis could give some information of Chany's whereabouts. W.E. Peirce
