February 3" 1868 Lt Allen Rutherfordton Dear Sir Yours of January 29th came duly to hand and contents noted I don't think any action relative to apprentices was taken at the last term of our Court I don't think any were bound or ay were canceled Four Freedmen were convicted One for larceny who was discharged upon payment of costs Two for an assault on each other fined one dollar & costs and one for failing to give in a pistol for taxation and he appealed to the Superior Court Very Respectfully & Your obedient servant J D Stanford
