You will see that I do not owe him any thing at all but that he owes me a small balance which I thought I never would ask him for, but as he has reported me to you, for withholding (as he says) his corn, "I have decided to settle by the contract 
I never tried harder to settle with any one in my life, than I have tried to settle with him. If necessary, I will itemize my account, and swear to it before my Justice of the Peace and send it to you for inspection. I regret very much giving you so much trouble, but hope you will act in this matter at your earliest convenience.
