Sir, 
Your letter of the 22nd inst is at hand, calling attention to certain schools in your district. I will help the schools of F. C. Sadgwar, at Whiteville. Columbus Co. and of Sarah. L. Williams at Myrtle Grove Sound, New Hanover Co. to the amount of 25 cts per scholar if they have over 40 provided they report regularly to this office. This assistance will commence October 1st, if these schools have been in operation during this month. Enclosed I send five blank reports. Please send these to them and and have them properly filled. As soon as they are all returned I will send the checks for October.
