- Daily News photo

These Miami society misses will be among those aiding the "Wings of Mercy" ball to be given Friday night at the Colonial Inn, Hallandale, for benefit of Relief Wings, Inc. Left to right are Eula Grigg, Betty Barco, Catherine Cheatham and Alma Adams. Relief Wings, Inc., is seeking funds with which to procure and operate planes in the Unites States and China to succor disaster victims. The organization will work in close cooperation with the Red Cross, and will organize pilots in every state in the United States for duty in event of emergency, ready to fly in doctors, nurses and medical supplies to stricken communities. The photograph was made at the residence of Mrs. William D. Pawley, one of the patronesses for the ball, at which such stars as Harry Richman, Sophie Tucker, Joe E. Lewis and Paul Whiteman will perform.
