GREET CHINESE AVIATRIX--Miss Lee Ya Ching, Chinese girl flier, put the wheels of her bright orange monoplane down on the local airport this morning at 11 o'clock, and was greeted by scores of persons. Most prominent among those present were: Left to right -- Chief Cyril H. Barker of the Tewksbury police; Chief Michael H. Winn, Lowell police; Mayor George T. Ashe, Rev. Maurice L. Bullock, chairman of the local China Relief committee greeting Miss Lee; Harold F. Howe, president of the Lowell Rotary club, which is entertaining Miss Lee at its noon meeting today; Rev. Ralph W. George, president of the Lowell Ministers association, and Leo Mongeau, program chairman of today's Rotary club meeting.

Chinese Aviatrix Lands at Airport
To Speak Here on Aid to China
LOWELL--Lee Ya China, slender and beautiful Chinese aviatrix and former film star, landed at the local airport at 11 a.m. today where she was greeted by Mayor Ashe and other city celebrities.

Miss Lee, China's only member of the famed Caterpillar club, addressed local Rotarians at a noon-day luncheon in the New American hotel and later spoke at a mass meeting in Liberty hall.

The aviatrix is making a transcontinental air tour to raise money for China's needs.
