Painters, Etchers, Sculptors, Sketchers Contribute Talents

Mr. John Taylor Arms, President of the American Society of Etchers, explains his demonstration which attracted considerable attention on January 22. Mr. Arms' demonstration was "The Making of An Etching."

The pastel painting of Mrs. Gladys Swarthout Capman, opera star, is being admired by Mr. and Mrs. Chapman. Shown from left to right are Mr. Frank Chapman, Mrs. Roland Harriman, Miss Leonebel Jacobs, the artist, and Mrs. Chapman.

Mr. Gordon Grant, well known painter of sea scenes, is shown below working on a painting of a soldier's head while the public watches from the street.

Mr. William Zorach views the head of Mrs. Gardner Stout which he modeled on Saturday, January 24. Mrs. Stout is also shown in the picture.

Mr. Waylande Gregory, ceramic sculptor, did a head of Miss Peggy Wood, noted stage star, as one of the features of Theatre Day, held on January 16.
