Lee Ya Ching. Statement for radio and public address.

United China Relief,
712 Union Commerce Bldg.

It is my pleasure to be here as the representative of the National campaign of the United China Relief, both because I am glad to be in CLeveland, and because of the splendid work which the Cleveland United China Relief Committee is doing. In every other city in which I have visited, i tell them of the wonderful work you here in Cleveland are doing, and I say that as a compliment to you for your efforts, in the past, and as a challenge to you for the future.

Naturally I am interested in China, for it is my native land, and in Britain, which is making a valient fight for freedom. I am of course also interested in the United States, for yours is one of the few nations on the face of the earth where my people are free to travel, to visit and to work, with[[strikethrough]]out danger of discrimination or prejudice.[[/strikethrough]]sympathy, kindness, [[?]] & encouragement.

As a representative of the National China Relief campaign for five million dollars, I am here to perform two duties. One is to thank you of Cleveland for your past kind favors, and to assist your local committee in any way possible. The other is to [[strikethrough]]watch[[/strikethrough]] enjoy this program, with the idea in mind that it may lead to many other such events. I want to thank all the [[?]] for participating in the show and everyone that help make this program a success.

May I again thank you for your interest in my message, and express my pleasure for the opportunity to be here. Thank you.
