To say a word about the relations between Holland and China, they are one of the most friendly, that exist. A year ago the Governments of both countries, desiring to emphazise these friendly relations, which have been long prevailing between their [[crossed out]] two [[/crossed out]] peoples, have manifested their common wish as equal and Sovereign States by promoting their legations to Embassies.
Since then the Dutch Ambassador accredited to China is in Chungking and the chinese Ambassador to Holland is now in London, with the Dutch Government in exile.
After this war, the Dutch East Indies will be one of the most important places in the world. They will be one of the countries, responsible for the security of the whole Pacific Ocean.
I do not want to touch any political problems, because I am no politician, but I believe that China will be ready to participate in any collective organization for the security of the world.
There are not so many chinese people in the East Indies as in Indo china and Tailand, the proportion to the local population is more than 2% and they are getting on very peacefully with - each other.
I am sure, that the post war collaboration will still be greater and more succesful, than it has been until now.
