Capt Carrin
Dear Sir
It seems that Betsy Powell is determined to disregard all law and also your orders in her regard to her boys. She no doubt has induced them again to absent themselves. I regret very much to trouble you about this matter as you have already been troubled so much [[strikethrough]] abou [[/strikethrough]] concerning this case, but any aid you render me in the matter will be thankfully received. The boys seemed to be getting on finely and were well satisfied until they were allowed to visit their mother.

Your Truly
Thos. D. Snead
