the boy bound to him.
I had some time since talked to Judge Hollingsworth about this case and he told me he would have nothing to do with it however the case was taken up again and when the time came for binding the boy George N excuses himself by stating that he & EB Edwards were related by marriage. Therefore W P Kennedy being the nearest magistrate took info into the case and bound the boy George Crabb to his former owner J Crabb before I heard of it. W P Kennedy is a vile Copperhead & as much opposed to negros being free as any man I ever have seen.
Doubtless you have ere this received a communication from J M Lowry respecting the board of advisors you recommended: he being one of them. I would be glad to bear from you with regard to this immediately.
The Stinnet case remains just as it was when Hollingsworth returned -
