Dear Sir:-
In reply to your recent inquiry concerning the qualifications for a commission in the Air Corps Reserve, the following information is furnished:-
a. For original appointment, applications must be citizens of the United States between 21 and 30 years of age. 
b. They must be physically qualified for flying. 
c. They must successfully pass an examination in the following subjects:- 
Organization of the Army. 
Organization of the Air Corps. 
Administration. 
Military Law - The Law of Military Offenses 
Military Discipline, courtesies and Customs of the Service. 
Interior Guard Duty. 
Map and Aerial Photograph Reading. 
Military Sanitation and First Aid. 
Theory of Flight, Heavier-than-Air.
Motcrology.
Aerial Navigation. 
Satisfactory completion of sub-courses in the subjects enumerated above through the agency of the Air Corps Extension School will exempt an applicant from further examination in these subjects.
d.  They must be professionally qualified for the military rating of airplane pilot in the Air Corps Reserve.
Requirements for this rating will be found on the reverse side of the Application for the military rating of Airplane Pilot in the Air Corps Reserved.
If you can fulfil the above requirements, it is requested that you fill out the following forms in duplicate and forward some to this office:-

W.D., A.G.O. Form 170 (Application for appointment and statement of preferences for Reserve Officers).
Application for the military rating of Airplane Pilot in the Air Corps. Reserve.
Statement of Flying Time.
W.D., A.G.O. Form 145 (Application for enrollment in the Air Corps Extension School).
