Dear Mr. Smith:

The writer of this letter is a young man seeking employment as a co-pilot:

I have over 700 hours certified time in my log book of which about 500 hours is in cross country flying. I have a Class 1 rating in Land and water, and also a flight instructors rating. The ships I have flown are up to the size and including Stinson's, but I do not hold a rating for that class now.

I have done student instruction, charter work and Aerial Photography. I have at different times owned and maintained my own airplanes. My license was originally issued to me in 1932, and my license number is 26,461. I have no instrument rating, but have studied Karl S. Day and Ford Davis on Instrument Flying and have practiced orientations and flying the radio beam. I hold third Class Radiophone License No. P-2-4974 Issued June 21st, 1938.

I am thirty years old and married, and have no children. My wife is my sole dependent.

At present I am employed as a photography pilot by one of the largest photographic companies in the Country.

The reason for my desiring a change is that the nature of my work is seasonal and therefore, would like some steady form of emplooyment.

Have you at present an opening for co-pilot for one of my qualifications?

Yours truly,
Michael A. Gitt,
519 N. 33rd St.,
