Mr. A.J Bartels,
Aircraft Radio and Instrument Training Co., Inc.,
Roosevelt Field, Mineola , L.I.N.Y
Dear Mr. Bartels: I was very glad to receive your letter of
February 9, 1940.
The last time I wrote I asked you to send me a statement of my unpaid balance, as I had been sending your company money and had never received a receipt for any of the payments I made. As your company failed to either send me a statement or a receipt, I have stopped all payments purely in self-defence.
Now of course I would like to resume payments, just as soon as I start earning some money. As you know my work is flying, and at this time of the year a pilots pay isn't enough to keep himself.
Now I must ask you to be indulgent till Spring. when I will be earning some money again, and can clear up this matter promptly.
Yours very truly,
Michael A. Gitt
