Dear Mike:

Many thanks for sending me copies of the correspondence with United Air Lines. I have written to their Traffic representative today and I enclose for your information a copy of the letter. You will observe that I have purposely not asked for more than to secure that you have an interview in due course. I have always been under the impression that a modest request of this sort helps more towards obtaining the desirable result than an attempt to put too much pressure on the other party.

I hope this will do the trick.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
E. W. Elwell
