E.Iremonger, Esq.,
United Air Lines
New York, N.Y.

Dear Mr.Iremonger:

I do not know whether being a member of your Hundred Thousand Miles Club I am a/good enough customer or friend of the United Air Lines to make a small request. The fact of the matter, however, is that as you know I myself hold a Pilot's License and I was taught by an instructor named Michael A.Gitt who lives at 822 Park Avenue, Plainfield, N.J. Mr.Gitt is a very painstaking and conscientious instructor as well as a more than ordinarily careful pilot with a great deal of common sense to him. He tells me that he has recently applied to United Air Lines under date of January 25th in an attempt to obtain a job with them as co-pilot. Mr.R.T.Freng sent him the necessary application form on February 5th and I understand Mr.Gitt has filled it out and returned it.

Now, my sole request is not with a view to brining any pressure on United Air Lines to employ Mr.Gitt, bit [[but]] I should awfully appreciate it if he was at least granted the courtesy of an interview with a representative of your Flight Operations Department. In other words, while I feel I can recommend Mr.Gitt th thoroughly I am observing my general rule of never asking for more than an interview for any man who asks me to help him to procure employment. If you could arrange that this much is done I should very much appreciate it.

With kind regards,
Yours very truly,

United States Manager
