Mr. Michael Gitt,
Plainfield, N. J.

Dear Mr. Gitt:

From records or persons associated with us we are led to believe that you may be qualified as a pilot for our organization. If so, you may be interested in what we have to offer and therefore will fill out and return to us the enclosed questionnaire.

We are a new company that has been in the process of organization for over a year. We are now almost ready to start operations. To those men who join us now as pilots, we believe we can offer a permanent place in an expanding organization. We are financially backed by a group of well-established business men who have an active interest in aviation.

You will be in at the beginning and in a position to take advantage of the opportunities that the growth of the company will afford, both as to income and responsibility. You will be provided with brand new ships completely instrument and radio equipped. There will be no student instruction. The flying hours and conditions of flight will be limited for your safety as well as ours.

Flying will be primarily between two large southern cities carrying passengers on a non-schedule basis. A scheduled operation, however, is anticipated. The cities afford pleasant economical living conditions, moderate weather all year and ideal terrain for flying.

The company will provide a uniform, rooms and transportation to and from the airport bases free of charge. Thus pilots need only take additional quarters if they have families at whichever city may be their base. The starting salary will be approximately $150.00 per month. However, if no flying is done the basic pay will not be over $90.00 per month. It is naturally anticipated, in view of the investment, that the pilots will rapidly increase their earnings as the operation progresses. For this reason we wish to have men that are qualified to help the company's progress. The attached questionnaire includes our insurance company's requirements so that a second form need not be filled out. If you wish to reply, please do so at once, even if you cannot completely answer the questionnaire. Fill in as much as you can and note any circumstances which might be delaying your reply on some parts. The operation is scheduled to start between July 15th and August 1st.

If you do not have an instrument rating or need additional time to secure one but are otherwise qualified we will arrange to loan you part or perhaps all the money that such a rating will cost and deduct same in small monthly payments from your salary.

Please advise by note if you lack this rating and want to avail yourself of this offer. Also if you would be available at any other time or if you have questions or other comment to make on this offer which would otherwise be agreeable to you.

We expect anyone who accepts and is accepted by us to stay with the operation at least six months.

Sincerely your,
N. K. Gilbert, Jr.
