C4.77 BOSTON AIRWAY CONTROL CENTER
C4.770 SPECIFICATIONS OF HOLDING POINTS
C4.7700 Instructions requiring that aircraft of aircraft operators to which these specifications of holding points have been issued be held in accordance with holding instructions contained in paragraph C4.4502, Part 1, Chapter C, of the Federal Airways Manual of Operations of the Civil Aeronautics Administration, shall be in the following form for such holding points as are defined:
"TO HOLD (Direction) OF (Specified holding point
 UNTIL (Specified time); or
 UNTIL ADVISED BY (Name of) TOWER.

The term "HOLD" as used in the phraseology, unless otherwise specified herein or different instructions are issued by the center, is defined as meaning a standard procedure insofar as the flight path of the aircraft is concerned, as follows:
"Flight path of the aircraft will follow the right edge of the on course signal of the leg of the appropriate radio range indicated by the definition of the holding point, between the specified holding point and four minutes flying time therefrom in the direction specified, making procedure turns at the specified holding point and a point four minutes therefrom."

C4.7701 HARTFORD
 Holding will be accomplished on the southeast leg of the Hartford range from the range station to a point four minutes southeast. The initial turn of the procedure turn will be made to the left when flying away from the range station, and to the right when flying toward the range station. 

C4.7702 PROVIDENCE
Holding will be accomplished on the southwest leg of the Providence range from the range station to a point four minutes southwest. The initial turn of the procedure turn will be made to the left when flying away from the range station, and to the right when flying toward the range station.
