DEFINITIONS 
Sec. 2. 
As used in this agreement; the term: 
(a) "Pilot" means first pilot, reserve pilot, and co-pilot as defined herein. 
(b) "First pilot" means an employee who is responsible for the manipulation of, or who manipulates, the flight controls of an aircraft while under way, including take-off and landing of such aircraft, and who is properly qualified to serve as and holds currently effective airman's certificates authorizing him to serve as, such pilot. 
(c)"Reserve Pilot" means an employee who has been checked out and designated by the Company as a reserve pilot, who may serve as and holds currently effective airman's certificate authorizing him to serve as such first pilot, but who is not assigned to a regular run as a first pilot. 
(d) "Co-pilot" means an employee any part of whose duty is to assist or relieve the first pilot in the manipulation of the flight controls of an aircraft while under way, including take-off and landing of such aircraft, and who is properly qualified to serve as, and holds currently effective airman's certificates authorizing him to serve as, such co-pilot. 
(e) "Pilot Division" means that portion of a route or alternates thereof over which a pilot is regularly scheduled. 
(f) "Day Flying" means all flying between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., standard time, and "Night Flying means all flying between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., standard time. In all cases the time of departure used herein shall be the time of the block departure of the airplane. When changes in the regional time occur in flight the regional time at the station of last take-off shall be use in computing the day and night flying time for that leg of the trip.
(g) "Month" means the period from the first day of, to and including the last day of each calendar month of the year.
