contract and the Pilots System Seniority List shall be brought up to date and posted as provided in this section on Jan. 1 and July 1 of each year. 
PROTEST OF SENIOIRTY LIST:
Sec. 19. 
(a) All pilots employed by the Company and listed on the Pilots System Seniority List after the date of the signing of this agreement shall be permitted a period of 30 days after the posting of such list in which to protest in writing to the Company an omission or incorrect posting affecting their seniority. 
(b) In the event such pilot does not file a protest with the Company within such thirty dats, he shall not thereafter be entitled to file such protest. 
PERIOD OF PROBATION 
Sec. 20. 
Co-pilots shall be on probation for a period not to exceed the first twelve months of service as a pilot with the Company. Nothing from this agreement shall be construed to prevent the Company from releasing, furloughing, or re-employing a co-pilot during his first year of service regardless of his position on the System Seniority List. 
LEAVES OF ABSENCE: 
Sec. 21. 
(a) When the requirements of the service will permit, a pilot may be granted a leave of absence for a period not in excess of 90 days. When such leaves are granted, the pilot shall retain and shall continue to accrue seniority during such 90-day period, provided that during such period the pilot maintains his air line pilot's certificate or certificates required for his status. Such leave or leaves may be extended for additional periods of not to exceed 90 days for each such leave when approved in writing by the Company, but during such extended leaves other than the first leave of maximum of 90 days, seniority shall not continue to accrue. If during the first leave of not to exceed 90 days, the pilot shall permit his air line
