(b)  When an air line aircraft is procured and placed into regular air line operation having a standard gross weight of more than 30,000 pounds, or more than two motors, conferences may be [[?]], irrespective of any provisions of the Railway Labor Act, as amended, for the purpose of negotiating salaries, rules and working conditions of pilots and co-pilots for such equipment.

*(c)  When foreign routes are added involving either overwater or overland operations, hourly rates will be established by negotiations.

3. Section 5 of the Agreement is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 5.  (a)  In computing the hours of first and reserve pilots, for flying pay purposes, the scheduled time from block-to-block shall by used on all scheduled and extra section flights and the hourly speed for determining the m.p.h. hourly pay bracket for a particular type of equipment on each of the Company's runs extending from a station where pilots are based to the furthermost terminus of each such runs shall be computed through the use of a m.p.h. formula consisting of the following components:

1. Non-stop flight between base terminus and furthermost terminus.

2. Field maneuvering time.

3. Normal climb m.p.h. with normal rated climb power output.

4. M.P.H. at optimum cruising altitude with normal rated cruising power output.
