Mr. David L. Behncke, President June 24, 1947
Air Line Pilots Association
3145 West 63 Street
Chicago29, III.

Dear Dave,
              find
Enclosed please a copy of a memorandum that I put out to all of our pilots on council // 28.

I personally feel very happy and proud of both of our new supplemental agreements. They are both milestones in contract negotiations for Airline Pilots. Again let me point out that Colonial Airlines has led the field in:

      1. The first domestic airline to give a months vacation for domestic based pilots flying overseas.
      2. The first Airline to have CO-Pilot bidding
      3. The first Airline to pay non-reverting Bonus Mile Mileage ( October 1944 ).
      4. The first Airline to pay 2 cents per thousand pounds, Gross Weight Pay.
      5. Route checking over new Routes at regular ratesof pay.
      6. Learning to fly new Equipment at regular Rate of Pay and many other gains.
Dave, all of this was only made possible through good old ALPA. I want to thank you as the guiding hand behind ALPa, and those people at Alpa working with you.

Please convey my personal thanks to Jack Christ who prepared our Bermuda Supplement and helped us with its first presentation to the Company

I can not be to loud in my praise for Karl Ulrich. I have seen Karl develops in the last three years from a man who could not pronounce " Lodestar " to what he represents today, a mainstay of the organization. Both, Mr. Janas and Mr. Dykes have personally complimented him on the way he approached and handled difficult problems.. He is a credit to the organization.

Transcription Notes:
"find" could just be inserted in the sentence; second "ALPA" after list has typo; "Christi" has a typo; paragraph of "Please convey" needs a period at the end; last paragraph might says "Karl develope" but unsure
