Section 3030 COCKPIT PROCEDURE

8. All flights shall be conducted in a safe and orderly manner and Captains and First Officers shall comply fully with the Company Route Procedure.

9. After take-off or In flight, the Captain may, at his discretion put up the hood for instrument practice by either himself or the First Officer, but under no circumstances will simulated instrument take-offs or landings under the hood be permitted during scheduled air carrier operation. During simulated or actual instrument conditions enroute, the Captain or First Officer or other authorized person, acting as observer, must be in the First Officer's seat at all times.

10. The door between the pilot's compartment and the passenger compartment should be kept locked except when desirable to ventilate the passenger compartment during extremely hot weather. The Captain may authorize the Stewardess to open the door for this purpose, providing the stewardess remains at the door until it is closed. 

11. No person shall be admitted to the pilot's compartment during scheduled flight, unless he is an employee of the Federal Government who deals responsibly with matters  relating to air carrier safety, or is an employee of an air carrier or other aeronautical enterprise who has in his possession written approval from the President, Vice President or Dispatcher. Any admission to the pilot's compartment must always be approved by the Captain.

12. The Captain shall comply with Civil Air Regulations regarding remaining at controls and manipulation of controls. During contact ' conditions, the Captain or First Officer may, at the discretion of the Captain, make a brief tour through the passenger cabin to speak to passengers, answer questions, etc., and this practice is encouraged by the Company except that the Captains shall not leave the pilot's compartment wile conducting instrument flight or when the First Officer does not hold a rating on the equipment flown.

13. Captains and First Officers shall avoid calling the Stewardess to the pilot's compartment wile in flight except when necessary in the interest of passenger service.
