No check made on hydraulically operated feathering system.

Check feathering system operation at originating station by pressing feathering button and noting RPM drop-off. Allow feathering to continue only long enough to note correct feathering action or a maximum of 100 RPM drop then pull feathering button out to discontinue feathering action, allowing engine to return to governor operation.

8. During all throttle changes notewhether manifold pressure gauge follows throttle without friction or sluggishness.

9. Reduce engine speed slowly to idling.

10. Repeat same procedure for left engine. 

11. Advance and retard throttles slowly to prevent undue strain on the engines. 

12. Close throttles fully to check idling of each engine.

Idling speed should be approximately 450-500 RPM

Idling speed should be approximately 500-550 RPM.
