Section 3301 - Emergency Procedure (continued)

22. Whenever a Captain is confronted with a condition which may require the flight to remain in the air longer than planned before departure, and if there is any probability that fuel supply will not be adequate if cruising horse-power is used, the Captain is responsible to conserve fuel by setting propeller and manifold pressure reading at best setting for fuel conservation.
