Section 3421 - Operations Specifications - Airport
Colonial Airlines, Inc.

The air carrier shall not operate aircraft in scheduled air transportation using any airport other than those described and identified herein, nor other than in accordance with the specifications and limitations for each such airport thatmay be set forth herein, except, in emergencies, other airports may be used in accordance with the Civil Air Regulations pertaining to emergency decisions.
SYMBOLS
The following symbols are used in these Airport Operations Specifications with the meaning assigned to the below:
SS--Sliding Scale
NA--Not Authorized
X--Authorized according to currently approved rules and regulations
SCOB--Scattered clouds or better
BCOB--Broken clouds or better
1000-2--Ceiling 1,000 feet; visibility 2 miles
CONT--In accordance with contact flight rules
D/F--Direction finding
FM--Fan Marker
Int--Intersection
Min--Minutes
N--North
E--East
S--South
W--West
ADF--Automatic Direction Finding
Whenever the above symbols are used they shall have the same force and effect as though the above phrases were written therein.
I. An Alternate Airport is an airport deemed adequate by the Administrator for safe air carrier operations.
The alternate ceiling and visibility minimums specified in the Operations Specifications-Airport will govern the alternate usage of an airport regardless of whether or not the particular airport is also listed as a regular terminal and/or scheduled intermediate and/or refueling and/or provisional airport.
Where alternate airport landin minimums are shown as 800-2, they shall also mean 900-1 1/2 and 1000-1 except where otherwise restricted.
II. A Refueling Airport is an airport, other than a terminal, intermediate stop, or provisional airport, on a regular or alternate route, deemed adequate by the Administrator for safe air carrier operations, the use of which is authorized for refueling purposes only. All requirements and provisions of the Civil Air Regulations pertinent to regular terminal and scheduled intermediate stops apply also to refueling airports.
