ATTENTION: Wallace W. Anderson

Dear Mr. Anderson:

In the interest for additional information relative to the proposed retirement plan for Airline pilots, I herewith enclose a short review for consideration and comment. Would you be so kind as to direct this to the proper committee?

I realize that the committee must be deluged with requests, assistance, and damnations. However, you may be assured that considerable effort was put forth in the accompanying treatise in hopes of receiving due consideration. Whereas the paper is brief and pointed, a clear and perhaps detailed rebuttle [[rebuttal]] is invited. In any event, the committee's efforts will be most fruitful, either to strengthen its own case or weaken the opposition. With due sincerity I can state that many of the pilots of Panagra are in strong opposition to the proposed plan, an absence of our own plan notwithstanding. Also the strong opposition demonstrated by the PAA pilots of L. A. D. has had little or no bearing upon our own thoughts. It was only after I had written the enclosed review that I saw the rather biased Q. & A. sheet put out by Council #37.

Your assistance and early reply will be sincerely appreciated since we contemplate an extraordinary meeting to discuss the plan. Of course, any late and additional information you may forward us will also be gratefully acknowledged.

Very truly yours,

/s/ Alfred Schaff, Jr.
