person or persons, equitably entitled thereto, to the extent and in the proportions that he or they shall have paid the expenses of burial of the deceased. If no relative or other person hereinbefore described surviving a deceased pilot is living on the date of such determination by the Board, and if no living person is entitled to any payment hereunder by reason of sharing the expenses of the burial of such deceased pilot, any amount due pursuant to any paragraph shall be paid to the legal representative of such deceased pilot. If an amount is payable to a person or persons by reason of such person or persons having paid or shared in the payment of the expenses of the burial of a deceased pilot, but the total of such payment is less than the amount payable pursuant to paragraph 1, the excess of such amount payable pursuant to paragraph 1 over the payments made with respect to expenses of the burial shall be paid to the legal representative of the deceased pilot. No payment shall be made to any person under this subsection, unless application therefor shall have been filed, by or on behalf of any such person (whether or not legally competent), prior to the expiration of two years after the date of death of the pilot with respect to whose death such application is filed.

(g) Maximum and Minimum Annuity Totals. -- Whenever according to the provisions of this Act as to annuities, payable for a month with respect to the death of a pilot, the total of annuities exceeds an amount equal to twice such pilot's insurance amount, such total annuities shall, prior to any deductions under subsection (h) be reduced to an amount equal to twice such pilot's basic amount, except that such total, prior to any deductions under subsection (h), shall not be less than $30.00.  Whenever such total of annuities is less than $30.00, such total shall, prior to any deductions under subsection (h), be increased to $30.00.

(h) Deduction from Annuities.

1. Deductions shall be made from any payments under this section to which a widow is entitled under subsection (b) until the total of such deductions equals such widow's annuity under subsection (b) for any month in which such widow otherwise entitled to an annuity under subsection (b) will not have had in her case a child of the deceased pilot entitled to receive an annuity under subsection (c).

2. Deduction shall be made from any payments under this section to which a child is entitled under subsection (c) or to which a father is entitled under subsection (d) until the total of such deductions equals such child's or father's annuity under subsection (c) or subsection (d) for any month in which such child or father will have rendered compensated service within or without the United States to an employer. 

3. A widow, child or father (or anyone in receipt of an annuity in his or her behalf) shall report to the Board the occurrence of the events described in paragraphs 1 and 2.

4. The deductions provided in this subsection shall be made in such amounts and at such time or times as the Board shall determine.
