(i) Set time of flight clock
(j) Set both altimeters

4. Start Engines
(a) Stop if oil pressure does not register within thirty seconds.

B. DURING WARM UP
1. Run at 1000 RPM until:
(a) Oil temp. is 40(degrees)C (105(degrees)F) or higher
(b) Oil pressure is 85 to 100 p.s.i.

2. Check hydraulic system by lowering and raising flaps
(a) Return flap control to NEUTRAL

3. Check de-icer and hydraulic pressure gauges
4. Gyro Pilot Control
(a) Move flying controls to extreme position each way and hold for a few seconds.
(b)Check Gyro Pilot pressure gauge - 90 p.s.i.
5. With manifold pressure at approximately 30" Hg and propellers in low pitch check:
(a) RPM APPROX. 2000
(b) Oil Pressure 85 to 100 p.s.i.
(c) Fuel Pressure 15 to 17 p.s.i.
(d) Oil Temperature 40° to 85° (105° to 185°F)
(e) Cylinder Head temperature 120° to 232°C (250° to 450°F)
(f) Run prop pitch to HIGH
(g) Return prop pitch to LOW
(h) Check magnetos RPM drop should not exceed 75
C. BEFORE TAKE-OFF
1. Check propeller pitch LOW (control forward)
2. Mixture AUTO RICH
3. Cowl flaps 10° OPEN for take-off
(a) 3/4 to full open during climb
4. Tabs ADJUSTED FOR LOAD
5. Carburetor heat COLD (unless icing condition exist)
6. Oil Shutters OPEN (during cold weather, use 25% open
7. Tail Wheel LOCKED
8. Rechecks
(a) Tank Selector Valve RIGHT FRONT
