Collector of Internal Revenue
210 Livingston Street
B'klyn, New York.

Dear Sir,

Because of the press of business which has necessitated my being away from home more than usual, and because of my not being able to gather all the records from which to compute my income tax return before the deadline time, I respectfully request an extension of thirty days to complete and file my 1947 income tax return.

I probably will not need all of the thirty days that I am requesting, I assure you that I will file my return promptly upon its completeion [[completion]] . I will also file at that time an estimate for my 1948 earnings.

In appreciation of any courtesy you may show me, I am

Respectfully yours
