We have been advised by Captain H. Clark, ATA Coordinator, First Region, that effective December 1, 1947, take-off and arrival times will not be furnished by the tower at LaGuardia Field. This is necessitated by the heavy traffic experience on the 118.7 mag. channel which services the inner stack 4500' and below, including the live runway.

The Commanding Officer of Floyd Bennett Field has advised the CAA that he does not have funds or personnel to implement and operate Floyd Bennett as required for provisional or alternate air carrier utilization. He further states that there are no control tower or lighting facilities available at night and only very limited personnel for daylight operations. This information was supplied to us by Captain H. L. Clark, ATA Coordinator, 1st. Region. In view of tho above, we are no longer able to use this airport for provisional or alternate use.
