Dear Fred,
The striking National Pilots have been having a tough time & the end of their troubled path has not yet [[strikethrough]] made [[\strikethrough]] a home into sight.  Therefore it behooves us as loyal members of ALPA to do something about it.

Para/1  Council #28 has passed a resolution to that effect. And on the 25th of August at 1930 Eastern Daylight Time a dinner will be held at the Colonial House 158-06 Northern Blvd.

It would please the boys no end if you will accept this letter as an invitation and attend this dinner as our honored guest. The feeling of the council is that [[strikethrough]] they [[\strikethrough]] we would like to do something on behalf of [[strikethrough]] Anthony [[illegible]] [[\strikethrough]] Dave Behncke and ALPA to let you know how much we appreciate what you did (have done)for the National Pilots.  We are also inviting as our guests, the localy based pilots of National Airlines.

Your presence at the dinner [[strikethrough]] to the [[\strikethrough]] on the aforementioned evening will be eagerly looked for by Colonial Pilots of Council #28.
