Position: TECHNICAL OFFICER (HEADQUARTERS, REGIONAL ORGANIZATION)
Two positions.
Grade 6 - ($4,600 - $5,850 a year, Canadian funds)

Duties: Preparation, maintenance, and amendment of a record of the action taken to implement recommendations of Regional Air Navigation meetings; analysis of reports and correspondence with ICAO representatives and with Contracting States; liaison with the technical sections of the Air Navigation Bureau through the Deputy Chiefs of Bureau on matters referred to headquarters by the ICAO representatives. 

Desirable Qualifications: General aeronautical background, particularly in matters affecting air navigations facilities and procedures; administrative experience ability to draft correspondence and reports. 

Position: CHIEF, JOINT SUPPORT SECTION
Grade 2 - ($8,500 - $10,000 a year, Canadian funds)

Duties: To serve as Secretary of the Joint Support Committee, and in general to co-ordinate the work required in the Secretariat in connection with financial and technical aid through ICAO in providing air navigation, meteorological, airport and similar facilities where joint action by Contracting States is deemed desirable; to undertake preparatory work required in connection with conferences of States and Organizations interested in requests for aid. 

Desirable Qualifications: Responsible administrative experience in the field of economics and/or finance; familiarity with the economic and technical problems of establishing air navigation facilities; broad general knowledge of technical and operating problems of international air transport. 

Position: CHIEF, FACILITATION SECTION
Grade 2 - ($8,500 - $10,000 a year, Canadian funds)

Duties: To serve as Secretary to the Facilitation of Air Transport Division; to conduct studies on matters affecting the vacilitation of international air transport, such as customs, immigration and public health matters and to maintain liaison with other international organizations interested in this subject; to represent the Organization at meetings of other international organizations concerned with facilitation matters.

Desirable Qualifications: Training in a field such as public administration, economics, law or international relations; experience in problems of international travel, preferably in the sphere of air transport.

Position: CHIEF, STATISTICS UNIT
Grade 3 - ($7,500 - $9,000 a year, Canadian funds)

Duties: To receive and compile air transport statistics and to publish statistics based on these data; to prepare the Statistical Summary for periodic issue; to develop methods of analyzing air transport statistics and to plan for the publication of a year-book of statistics; to undertake preparatory studies for the use of the Statistics Division; to co-operate with other organizations in the field of statistics; to serve the Organization, as required, on statistical matters.
